The second record of ZURA, “KIRIBIL” (loop, spiral) is an album of bossanova made in Basque Country, an innovative bossa drinking from different traditions. In most rocking meets and funkys with Brazilian samba and bossa traditions. In general, harmonies and rhythms are Brazilian hue, being the main language Basque disk. The main contents of the disc, therefore, is a Bossa refreshed with various stylistic nuances.
The album title, KIRIBIL (loop, spiral) refers to new approaches to making music, made based on loops and sequences, but also to the tendency of the songs grow in a spiral.
ZURA currently consists of Xabi Strubell (guitar and voice), Nerea Olaxa (vocals) and Diego Garcia (drums), and direct them to accompany Gorka Sesma (ex-guitarist Kashbad) and Hans, on bass.
A level collaborations are in the disc biggest names in contemporary Basque scene: Eñaut Elorrieta (Ken Zazpi), Ines (Gose), Anari and Sorkun. Also Sabina Leone, the Swiss group Wemean. A level musicians have also participated in the disc keyboardists Koldo Uriarte and Gorka Pastor and bassist Marc Barnes.
